Analogue CCTV Systems
The main difference between Analogue and Digital (IP) systems is the way the image is recorded and delivered. Analog cameras record images and then send the signal over a coaxial cable to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder). The DVR converts the video from analogue to digital signals, compresses the file, and stores it on a hard drive.
Normally a monitor needs to be connected to the DVR to view the images. This is no longer the case as modern systems allow you to monitor your CCTV remotely on your phone, using an App.
The image from an analogue camera was traditionally poor by comparison to an IP system. This is no longer the case. Your analogue system can now enjoy ultra HD video at up to 4K resolution, and boosted VCA accuracy, made possible by deep-learning algorithms.
